Hello, I am Lorenzo

I’m a project manager, a parent, and an expat calling Florence, Italy home.

A few years back I moved here with my family. What started as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter living overseas.

How It Started

Moving to Italy wasn’t in our long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.

The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they needed to be.

The Adjustment Period

There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning as you go. But gradually routines settled in. We discovered places that fit us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.

Why I Built Bloom Atlas Pride

Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism material. What was missing was an honest, day-to-day family perspective.

This site exists to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Italy.

What This Site Is (And Isn't)

This site IS:

  • Hands-on insight from living in Italy
  • Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
  • Updated whenever something truly shifts

This site ISN'T:

  • Not a government tourism resource
  • Not a sponsored review site
  • Not just a generic travel blog

Looking Ahead

Our stay in Italy goes on, as does the learning journey. As long as the details remain helpful, I’ll continue recording what we discover.

If you have questions about family life in Florence or anywhere in Italy, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Best regards,

Lorenzo
